It’s finally October, which means the merriest German festival, Oktoberfest, will be back in full swing! Beer lovers worldwide rejoice as they celebrate by downing stein after stein of malty brews, and for those in Hong Kong, there’s no better place to enjoy the festivity than Happy Valley Racecourse for a fantastic party atmosphere every Wednesday of the month.

As Oktoberfest originally featured a grand horse race, a party at the Valley makes a lot of sense. On October 5, 12, 19 and 26, Happy Valley Racecourse will stage the biggest outdoor bierfest in Hong Kong with an array of Oktoberfest events including thrilling races, fun games and entertainment, and the best beers and authentic German food.

Hit the party with your buddies and dance to German music by band Notenhobler on Oct 5 and 12, or resident group Carnivale on the final two nights. For more party fun, check out some beer-related games including the ever-popular speed-drinking contest, where the fastest drinkers will battle it out on stage for great prizes right up to $5,000 in the finale. Meanwhile, test your strength with our “Roll Out the Barrel” game.

Beer fanatics must drop by the San Miguel booth to get their own beer bottle made! Simply buy two pints and you can have your photo taken with friends and get it made into your very own beer label. And of course, it wouldn’t be Oktoberfest without great food and beers: More than 15 different beers on tap will be available, while a great selection of traditional fare created by the Racecourse’s German-born chef will be on offer at the Beer Garden.
