The official royal wedding photos of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank have been made public.

The newly married couple released four official portraits on Saturday, taken by photographer Alex Bramall at Windsor Castle, after their wedding ceremony on Friday.

More photographs were taken at the private evening reception held at Royal Lodge in Windsor later the same day.

The couple were said to be “delighted” to share the images of “their special day”.

One picture shows the couple with their extended family, including the princess’ grandparents, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, her father Prince Andrew, Duke of York, mother Duchess Sarah of York, and sister Princess Beatrice of York, as well as Jack’s brother, Thomas, and his mother, Nicola, and father, George.

Eugenie wore a wedding dress created by London-based designer Peter Pilotto and a diamond and emerald tiara as “something borrowed” from the queen.

One of the photographs shows the couple with just their bridesmaids and page boys, who included Prince George and Princess Charlotte – the son and daughter of Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, and his wife, Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge – Maud Windsor, Louis De Givenchy, Theodora Williams, Mia Tindall, Isla Phillips and Savannah Phillips.

Another image, a black-and-white photograph, shows Eugenie and Jack sharing a kiss in the Scottish State Coach following the carriage procession after their wedding on Friday.

Another of the photographs, taken at Royal Lodge, shows the princess in her evening dress, which was designed by Zac Posen.

The photographs also mark another significant event – the first time Prince Philip has been spotted in the same room with the Duchess of York since the early 1990s.

Philip, Eugenie’s 97-year-old grandfather, has not been on good terms with her mother since the duchess’ marriage to Andrew began collapsing amid a series of embarrassing episodes, such as the time she was photographed by paparazzi having her toes sucked by her Texas millionaire financial consultant while sunbathing topless on the French Riviera in 1992.

Even though the duchess is friendly with the queen and visits her at Balmoral, Philip is usually not there and generally avoids her.

However, since this was the princess’s special day, everyone was on their best behaviour for the event.
