Best and worst dressed celebrities at the 24th Critics’ Choice Awards

The awards season is in full swing. A week after the 76th Golden Globes, Hollywood welcomed its second blockbuster red carpet event for 2019 – the 24th Critics’ Choice Awards taken place at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Los Angeles on Sunday evening.

Attended by A-list celebrities including Julia Roberts, Charlize Theron, Crazy Rich Asian stars Gemma Chan and Constance Wu and more, the red carpet is full of high fashion and jewellery.

However, there are always some stars who miss the mark in their style. Here are some could-be-better fashion choices on the red – or blue, to be precise – carpet.

Gabrielle Chanel said, “Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take one thing off.” That’s exactly towards accessorising cases like Billy Porter and the orange satin belt.

Indya Moore’s dress is actually appealing, but combined with the “food-poisoned” lipstick and the “electrified” hairstyle, the overall effect wasn’t the best red carpet look.

A touch of green is always delightful, but Lady J’s full-on green jumpsuit? Not so much.

If you saw Sandra Oh in a stunning red Versace design at the recent Golden Globes Awards, you will know that what she wore to the Critics’ Choice Awards was not a worthy option for an award-winning actress.

Here are the stellar celebrities who won Critics’ Choice Awards for style on the night.
