Hong Kong’s iconic skyscrapers become hidden in plain sight

Hopeful solar eclipse watchers might have been disappointed by the heavy fog that blocked views of the astronomical phenomenon, but others enjoyed the eerie scene as fog engulfed Hong Kong’s skyline.

The Hong Kong observatory says on their website that a maritime airstream is the cause of a coastal fog that will linger in the city and coast of Guangdong until mid-week next week.

The Hong Kong fog thins just long enough for the sun to pop through mid-solar eclipse...
