For IGP, being part of the strong value chain of Astra Otoparts, the country’s largest conglomerate in vehicle components sale, makes the company a preferred supplier of underbody components for Japanese car manufacturers in Indonesia and across Asia’s growth markets.

IGP manufactures propeller shafts and rear axles for original equipment manufacturers. The company nurtures long-standing relationships with esteemed brands such as Mitsubishi, Suzuki, Toyota, Daihatsu and Isuzu.
Reputed for its manufacturing excellence, IGP harnesses its in-house design and testing capabilities. It has designed and tested propeller shafts for Daihatsu Gran Max and Chevrolet Captiva in Thailand. The company’s GKD division produces frame chassis for trucks and buses and manufactures press parts.
To expand the client base for its rear axle products, IGP forged a joint venture with Japanese company Asano Gear to form Asano Gear Indonesia. It also has a joint venture with Japan’s Akashi-Kikai Industry to make transmissions for Daihatsu in Indonesia and Malaysia.
IGP maintains its competitive advantage on a global scale and conforms to ISO/TS 16494 standard. It also garnered ISO 14001 certification for its green sustainability initiatives. “With the low-cost green cars on the uptrend in Indonesia, we are also moving towards green production, enabling us to add value and bring cost savings to our customers,” Pranadi says.
Aiming to become a global supplier, IGP eyes the region’s growth hot spots such as Thailand and Malaysia. It seeks partners with strong distribution networks and local knowledge of new markets.
