Floyd Mayweather visits Big Buddha on trip to Hong Kong as he gears up for Manny Pacquiao rematch

Floyd Mayweather may be gearing up for a potential rematch with Manny Pacquiao, but he still had time to check out the sights on another whistle-stop tour of Hong Kong.
“Money” went to see the Big Buddha on Lantau Island on Friday and gave his 21 million followers a glimpse of the famed tourism spot.
“Back in one of my favourite places, Hong Kong. Had to go check out the 112 foot Big Buddha,” Mayweather wrote in a post on Instagram, alongside a picture of him posing in front of the bronze statue of Buddha Shakyamuni at Ngong Ping.
It was a change of scene in Hong Kong for the 41-year-old, who last December visited Victoria Peak during a week-long Asian jaunt with his 23-person entourage.
The undefeated American has been jet-setting across Asia again, posting snaps of himself in Tokyo, as well as a video of an encounter with Pacquiao in the Japanese capital, claiming “another 9 figure payday is on the way”.
Mayweather has not fought since coming out of retirement to beat Conor McGregor in a money-spinning fight last August, and it seems he could put his boxing gloves back on again.
Soon after posting his photo by the Big Buddha, Mayweather uploaded another picture, this time showing off his toned physique, suggesting he is in training to fight Filipino legend Pacquiao for a second time.
“Not bad for one week of training,” he wrote in the Instagram post, amid reports the two fighters could meet in December.
Pacquiao and Mayweather’s first fight in 2015 was the richest in boxing history, with Mayweather winning a unanimous decision in Las Vegas.
The fight was a bit of a snooze – Pacquiao claimed a shoulder injury hampered his efforts – but the Filipino looks rejuvenated after an impressive win against Lucas Matthysse in July.
The MGM Grand is likely to host any rematch again, with December 1 or December 8 reportedly the dates in the frame.
