Racing Incident Report
Race Six: (532)-THE EWO CHALLENGE TROPHY (HANDICAP) - Class 3 - 1000Metres
SILVER SPUN and RIGHT HONOURABLE bumped at the start.Near the 950 Metres, SILVER SPUN was crowded for room between RIGHT HONOURABLE which shifted in and CALL ME AWESOME which, when being ridden along, got its head on the side and lay out.
After this, CALL ME AWESOME continued to race with its head on the side and lay out and near the 850 Metres was awkwardly placed close to the heels of ACE KING.
Approaching the 900 Metres, RIGHT HONOURABLE became unbalanced after being bumped by SILVER SPUN.
A short distance later, RIGHT HONOURABLE was steadied when crowded for room between SILVER SPUN and WAYFOONG VINNIE which, after getting its head on the side and shifting in away from ALL BEST FRIENDS, then raced tight inside ALL BEST FRIENDS which shifted in.
As the Stewards were satisfied that there was no rider carelessness associated with this incident, no further action was taken.
Passing the 700 Metres, CALL ME AWESOME blundered and lost a considerable amount of ground after striking the heels of URBAN CHIC which was steadied away from the heels of ACE KING (K Teetan) which shifted in when not quite clear.
K Teetan was advised to ensure that he is properly clear when shifting ground in similar circumstances.
URBAN CHIC got its head on the side and shifted out making the turn after the 600 Metres, resulting in ALL BEST FRIENDS being taken wider.
Also making the turn after the 600 Metres, CALL ME AWESOME lay out.
Over the final 200 Metres, TRAVEL COMFORTS drifted out under pressure.
Passing the 100 Metres, SILVER SPUN was shifted in away from the heels of ACE KING.
TRAVEL COMFORTS and WAYFOONG VINNIE were sent for sampling.

Travel Comforts went forward from a wide gate to lead one off at the 850m from Ocean Roar and edged away 150m out to land a betting plunge. He had tipped his hat last start and is always a chance over this Valley trip. Favourite Wayfoong Vinnie flashed home travelling beyond midfield to wear down Thor The Greatest in deep stretch for second. He's gone very well in back-to-back 1,000m runs but might be more effective over 200m further. Thor The Greatest stayed on well following a box-seat run. He's a good money spinner for connections but hasn't won in ages. Ace King stuck on reasonably well following a prominent run despite being restless in the stalls but prefer him over the straight 1,000m at Sha Tin. Smart Declaration had excuses after covering ground in midfield. Silver Spun was crowded at the start and twice had to check off heels but was only beaten less than two lengths for a placing. He'll be hard to beat if he gets the point downgrade into Class Four in a Valley sprint.
