Racing Incident Report
Race Seven: (638) - CHAMOMILE HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1650Meters
ALPHA HEDGE began only fairly, shifted out and was awkwardly placed inside the heels of MAGNIFICENT.
From wide barriers, BEST ALLIANCE and SONIC FIGHTER were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Approaching the winning post on the first occasion, SUCH A HAPPINESS got its head up when travelling keenly and awkwardly placed close to the heels of CHARIZARD.
After this, SUCH A HAPPINESS continued to prove difficult to settle when being steadied to obtain cover behind SUNSHINE WARRIOR.
After obtaining cover behind SUNSHINE WARRIOR approaching the 1300 Metres, SUCH A HAPPINESS was then very awkwardly placed close to the heels of that horse for some distance.
Passing the 1000 Metres, BEST ALLIANCE was awkwardly placed close to the heels of ENFOLDING.
Approaching the 700 Metres, ALPHA HEDGE was steadied away from the heels of UNICORNBABY which shifted back in after being taken wider by REEL BIZZY which shifted out from behind MAGNIFICENT.
CHARIZARD made the turn after the 600 Metres awkwardly.
At the entrance to the Straight, CHAIRMAN LO shifted out and bumped REEL BIZZY, resulting in CHAIRMAN LO becoming unbalanced.
Near the 75 Metres, CHAIRMAN LO was bumped by MAGNIFICENT (H T Mo) which shifted out under pressure.
Then over the concluding stages, CHAIRMAN LO continued to race tight outside MAGNIFICENT.
H T Mo was severely reprimanded and told that in similar circumstances he would be expected to stop riding with the whip and straighten his mounts.
BEST ALLIANCE, REEL BIZZY and MAGNIFICENT were sent for sampling.

In a blanket finish, Reel Bizzy just got the better of long-time leader Magnificent 60m out tracking the speed on the fence for a second win from 13 starts. Magnificent did everything right leading from a wide gate but get the win. He's always a chance over this Valley trip. Punted late Alpha Hedge dashed well to make it close on the wire travelling one-off in midfield. He was able to bounce back off a dull run last start as the favourite. Favourite Best Alliance just failed to get up for a placing after a patient ride one from the back. It was another honest effort but he might be crying out for 1,800m. Punted late Chairman Lo found a few just too good after a prominent run on the fence. It was a good run in defeat trying the Valley for the first time following a Class Four win over the 1,400m. Sunshine Warrior was doing some nice work late near the outside after settling one-off the fence behind midfield. Charizard was in the thick of the finish after a rail run in midfield.
