Recap by phillip woo

Dublin Star came on better than midfield in the centre of the track to take control 100m out. The writing had been on the wall in his opening five starts and there's still improvement to come from the three-year-old. Comfort Life ran on well to grab second late after making his run among the backmarkers. The move to visors had a positive effect. Punted late Nextmodel found a couple too good in the end but did have his head briefly in front at the 150m chasing the speed near the stands side. Precious Sweetie stayed on all right travelling midfield two off the grandstand side. He's gone all right in both straight 1,000m runs this season. Gold 'n' Bold made good headway late after copping a bump soon after the start. Besta Luck gradually faded after going for home on top after vying for the lead with Dr Eq with bags of money for him late. Favourite Goko didn't find when push came to shove following a handy run on the fans side with a 10-pound claimer.

Racing Incident Report

Race Two: (661) - TAI MONG TSAI HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1000Meters

COMFORT LIFE bounded in at the air as the start was effected and lost ground.

EASY DAZZLING began only fairly and then lost further ground when crowded for room between DUBLIN STAR which shifted out and GOLD 'N' BOLD which was taken in by GALLANT CROWN which in turn was taken in by NEXTMODEL.

In this incident, GOLD 'N' BOLD also lost ground after becoming badly unbalanced as a result of contact with GALLANT CROWN which became unbalanced.

Passing the 100 Metres, BESTA LUCK was awkwardly placed outside the heels of NEXTMODEL which shifted out under pressure.

Also passing the 100 Metres, COMFORT LIFE shifted out under pressure, requiring its rider to stop riding and straighten that horse.

GOLD 'N' BOLD momentarily had difficulty obtaining clear running passing the 50 Metres at which stage the horse was shifted to the inside of PRECIOUS SWEETIE to continue improving.

Close to the finishing line, PRECIOUS SWEETIE was awkwardly placed outside the heels of COMFORT LIFE which continued to lay out and consequently was not ridden out all the way to the end of the race.

After the race, H T Mo expressed concern regarding the action of COLONEL over the latter stages of the race.

A veterinary inspection of COLONEL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Before being allowed to race again, COLONEL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Also after the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that BESTA LUCK had bled from both nostrils.

A veterinary inspection of GOKO immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer??which had previously been reported.

A veterinary inspection of DR EQ immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

GOKO, DUBLIN STAR and COMFORT LIFE were sent for sampling.
