Recap by phillip woo

Plunged late Dublin Star took control 100m out after settling fourth along the fence following a tardy start. It was his second career win from 11 starts and appeared to benefit from a positive run last start over this trip. Helaku Knight ran on to finish a non-threatening second after a deep run with cover in midfield. He did place in July over this trip and was sharper for two runs. Big Luck Champ closed well from behind midfield to fill a placing. He's shown ability in both starts and will be winning races when coming into his own over 1,400m or even a mile. Monkey Jewellery kept on rather one-paced after a prominent run. He's on his mark and the big weight continues to anchor him. Alloy King faded over the last 100m after getting his own way in front. It was a better effort in front at his third start. Favourite Noble Desire came up flat over the last 200m after stalking the leader. It was a weak effort but he's likely crying out for a longer trip.

Racing Incident Report

Race One: (93) - PAK TIN HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

BIG LUCK CHAMP began only fairly.

NOBLE DESIRE was crowded for room on jumping between HELAKU KNIGHT and SURE WIN WIN which shifted in.

A short distance after the start, MONKEY JEWELLERY shifted out and bumped HELAKU KNIGHT.

From the outside barrier, SCENIC SWEETIE was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

In the early and middle stags, ALLOY KING travelled keenly in the lead and then making the turn after the 900 Metres shifted out, resulting in NOBLE DESIRE and SURE WIN WIN being inconvenienced.

Rounding the Home Turn, SURE WIN WIN received contact from MONKEY JEWELLERY which attempted to shift to the outside of NOBLE DESIRE.

At this stage, MONKEY JEWELLERY lost its left hind plate.

After being unable to shift out, MONKEY JEWELLERY was then held up for clear running until near the 300 Metres.

Approaching the 200 Metres, DUBLIN STAR was struck over the nose by the whip of H N Wong (ALLOY KING).

Passing the 200 Metres, NOBLE DESIRE was eased away from the heels of HELAKU KNIGHT (N Callan) which shifted in under pressure.

N Callan was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.

Throughout the race, SURE WIN WIN travelled wide and without cover.

NOBLE DESIRE, DUBLIN STAR and HELAKU KNIGHT were sent for sampling.
