Racing Incident Report
Race Five: (811) - THE SAUTERNES CUP (HANDICAP) - Class 4 - 1000Meters
As the start was effected, FARM BUMPER reared abruptly and consequently lost a significant amount of ground.
Before being allowed to race again, FARM BUMPER will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial.
FARIBAULT shifted out at the start and bumped SEA ELITE.
PARTY WARRIOR shifted out on jumping and lost ground when steadied away from the heels of JAZZ STEED.
Shortly after the start, PACKING CHAMPION shifted out and inconvenienced BALTIC WHISPER.
After this, despite being ridden along, BALTIC WHISPER failed to muster speed.
OVERSUBSCRIBED was steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
After the 600 Metres, GOOD LUCK CHARM was left racing wide and without cover.
Passing the 500 Metres, SEA ELITE got its head on the side and lay out when awkwardly placed close to the heels of AMAZING ROCKY which was taken out by PACKING CHAMPION which made the turn awkwardly.
When SEA ELITE shifted out, GOOD LUCK CHARM, which was racing to that horse's outside, was taken wider.
Then near the 450 Metres, JAZZ STEED was steadied when attempting to improve between PARTY WARRIOR which shifted out marginally and bumped JAZZ STEED and SEA ELITE which shifted back in.
Passing the 300 Metres, PARTY WARRIOR was directed to the outside of FARIBAULT to obtain clear running.
Then passing the 200 Metres, PARTY WARRIOR shifted out a number of horses under pressure.
When PARTY WARRIOR shifted out, SEA ELITE was momentarily inconvenienced.
MY MY MY lost its left front plate after the race.
After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on AMAZING ROCKY at the request of Trainer T P Yung.
The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, AMAZING ROCKY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of MY MY MY and SEA ELITE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
AMAZING ROCKY, FARIBAULT and PARTY WARRIOR were sent for sampling.

Early favourite Faribault just held on for the win after rushing to the lead 60m out after a dream run in the box-seat. He made full use of gate two after putting the writing on the wall with a near win from a wide draw last start. Party Warrior dashed well after a rails run in midfield to make it a nose on the wire but should have won if he maintained a straight run. He's made a solid impression in both starts and will be winning races next season with more fine tuning. Jazz Steed finished well to just finish behind the quinella pair after a one-off run outside Party Warrior. He has been racing consistently well all season long. Post-time favourite Amazing Rocky was on his tippy toes passing the 100m after claiming the front 200m out stalking the leader Packing Champion from a wide draw. The combination of top weight and a wide gate took its toll. Oversubscribed got going late to pick up a minor cheque following a patient ride third from the rear. He was set a harder task carrying more weight following a last-start win. Well-backed late, My My My made only a mild bid after settling one off behind midfield from the widest draw. The three-year-old's shown flashes of ability in his six outings this term.
