Racing Incident Report
Race Eight: (231) - OPAL HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1000Meters
FANTASY shifted out at the start and bumped SUPER FORTUNE.
RACING FIGHTER shifted out on jumping and inconvenienced NOTHING IMPOSSIBLE.
SEIZING THE MOMENT and PROSECCO bumped shortly after the start.
Approaching the 700 Metres, RUN RUN COOL and ASTRO KING were crowded for room between CORDYCEPS SIX which shifted in marginally and ALCARI (C Wong) which shifted out before being directed back in to relieve the tightening.
C Wong was reprimanded and told to ensure that he exercises more care when shifting ground than he did on this occasion.
CORDYCEPS SIX was held up for clear running approaching and passing the 300 Metres and was then directed to the outside of SUPER FORTUNE passing the 250 Metres to obtain clear running.
After the 300 Metres, SUPER FORTUNE lay in under pressure.
Passing the 200 Metres, METRO WARRIOR and SUPER FORTUNE brushed.
A veterinary inspection of RUN RUN COOL and SEIZING THE MOMENT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of STRIKING MR C immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer??which had previously been reported.
SUPER FORTUNE, ALCARI and METRO WARRIOR were sent for sampling.

Outsider Alcari responded well to take control 50m out after a prominent run. He's not easy to get right but is certainly capable on his day and relished a step back to the straight 1,000m. Metro Warrior did everything right but get the win after moving to the lead 200m out tracking the leader Super Fortune from a low draw. He's as honest as the day is long but isn't a prolific winner. Cordyceps Six ran on well to just miss second after getting badly held up for a run from the 400m to 200m parked on the leader's back. It was another good run after back-to-back wins. Short-priced favourite Super Fortune weakened under the pump 150m out after quickly finding the front 800m out after a sluggish start. The rise in class was too much to overcome after a nice debut win. Seizing The Moment just held his ground after a handy run. He's crying out for a longer trip. Fantasy ran on all right from towards the rear near the far side. It was a better run and he'll be looking forward to an up-coming stint in Class Four. Newcomer Solar Winds made some ground without ever looking a threat from behind midfield. He has room for improvement at just his second career start following a 1,200m placing in Australia.
