In a race run to suit the backmarkers, favourite Superbella closed well to win going away near the 100m after a one-off trip behind midfield. He had put the writing on the wall in his past two starts and was suited by the step back up to 2,000m. Charity Go did everything right but found one too good after hitting the front 200m out following a one-off run better than midfield. He's close to a win. Intrepid Winner came with a ducking- and-weaving run from last at the top of the straight to fill a placing. It was a much-improved effort with a step up in distance at his third start. Nordic Sky stayed on all right to fill the frame without menacing the top three following a rails run in midfield. He proved an improved run last start over the Valley 2,200m was not a fluke. Entrusted got going without menacing after travelling five back on the fence. He's likely on or near his mark after winning three back over the same distance. Hit The Shot made some ground from towards the rear. He's shown steady progress in his three starts. Vincy was doing his best work late yet again from towards the rear. It was a typical performance. Enzemble was gone 200m out after setting a pace faster than standard.

Racing Incident Report

Race Nine: (364) - SEASONS BLOOM HANDICAP - Class 3 - 2000Meters

WINNING DRAGON lifted its front feet off the ground as the start was effected and shifted out, hampering ENTRUSTED.

NORDIC SKY began awkwardly, shifted out and brushed SUPERBELLA.

HIT THE SHOT was crowded for room on jumping between KING TOURBILLON and NATURAL STORM which shifted out.

After this, NATURAL STORM and HIT THE SHOT were steadied to obtain cover.

From a wide barrier, VINCY was also steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.

After the 1600 Metres, HELENE ALLIBOR was left racing wide and without cover and was then allowed to improve its position to race outside the lead after the 1100 Metres.

ENTRUSTED had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight.

Passing the 400 Metres, FLYING TURBO raced tight outside SUPERBELLA which improved into restricted room between FLYING TURBO and CHARITY GO.

FLYING TURBO then shifted out away from SUPERBELLA, resulting in KING TOURBILLON being steadied away from the heels of that horse passing the 350 Metres.

Near the 250 Metres, M Chadwick (VINCY) dropped his whip.

Passing the 200 Metres, HELENE ALLIBOR raced tight inside the heels of NORDIC SKY.

After the 200 Metres, INTREPID WINNER was shifted to the inside of CHARITY GO to obtain clear running.

For the majority of the race, FLYING TURBO travelled wide and without cover.

After the race, M L Yeung stated that, in his opinion, CHEVALIER PRINCE performs best when able to obtain cover.

He said due to the makeup of today's race in the early stages, CHEVALIER PRINCE was required to race wide and without cover until being crossed by HELENE ALLIBOR after the 1100 Metres.

A veterinary inspection of CHEVALIER PRINCE immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse's trachea.

A veterinary inspection of WINNING DRAGON and HELENE ALLIBOR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

SUPERBELLA and CHARITY GO were sent for sampling.
