Racing Incident Report
Race Seven: (450) - SING WOO HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
As C L Chau was unable to fulfil the engagement on WAR OF COURAGE due to being overweight, K C Leung was substituted as the rider of that horse.
Jockey Chau was fined the sum of $5,000.
At the time of declaration, Z Purton notified probable overweight of 2 lbs in respect of ARMOUR EAGLE's allocated weight of 118 lbs.
Z Purton then weighed in an additional 1 lb overweight, resulting in Jockey Purton weighing in 3 lbs over the horse's allocated weight.
Jockey Purton was fined the sum of $7,500.
H Z TOURBILLON shifted out at the start and bumped SUCCESS FIGHTER.
H Z TOURBILLON, SUCCESS FIGHTER and STORM WARNINGS were then hampered when crowded for room between REWARDING TOGETHER and COLONEL which got its head on the side and shifted in away from JOLLY GOOD HEART which itself got its head on the side in the early stages and shifted in when being ridden along.
After this, STORM WARNINGS and H Z TOURBILLON were steadied to obtain cover.
From the outside barrier, WAR OF COURAGE was shifted across behind runners after the 1100 Metres and after the 800 Metres was left racing wide and without cover.
Passing the 700 Metres, H Z TOURBILLON was awkwardly placed behind SUCCESS FIGHTER.
Rounding the Home Turn, WAR OF COURAGE raced tight outside H Z TOURBILLON which shifted out.
STAR BRITE was held up for clear running after the 300 Metres and approaching the 250 Metres was shifted in abruptly across the heels of COLONEL to obtain clear running to the inside of that horse.
When being shifted across behind COLONEL, STAR BRITE was very awkwardly placed behind that horse.
After the 300 Metres, SEIZING THE MOMENT raced tight outside WAR OF COURAGE which shifted out.
After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that H Z TOURBILLON was lame in its left front leg.
Before being allowed to race again, H Z TOURBILLON will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
ARMOUR EAGLE and REWARDING TOGETHER were sent for sampling.

Armour Eagle dashed well along the inside to take control 150m out after a prominent run on the fence. The win was overdue with a switch to the Valley after placing in his last three starts. Favourite Rewarding Together came to win the race 150m out but couldn't match the winner in the run to the wire after chasing the speed one-off in third. The big weight took its toll after back-to-back wins but he certainly lost nothing in defeat. Seizing The Moment came from a clear last and widest out to snatch third on the wire. He keeps promising without delivering. Astrologer ran on steadily to just miss a placing after a one-off run better than midfield. It was another honest performance but the big weight took its toll. Plunged late, Star Brite just failed to fill the frame after ducking in sharply for a clear run near the 100m after making his run in midfield on the fence for the most part. He's flashed potential in his five runs and looks a major force to be reckoned with shortly in Class Four. Jolly Good Heart weakened tamely after failing to clear Colonel for the lead from a wide draw. He needs to lead or is hopeless. War Of Courage will sleep well after covering a tonne of ground towards the rear.
