Favourite Viva Mama led and showed plenty of fight when Shanghai Power nearly drew level 50m out to ring up a second straight win. He's in good form but will find it harder in Class Four despite a light weight. Shanghai Power had his chance stalking the speed but found one just better on the day. He's a pretty honest Class Five sprinter at the Valley. Punted late, Universal Crown came from near last and widest out to finish a close third. He thrives over this Valley trip. Sunny And Gold just finished out of the placings after settling one-off in midfield. He's been as honest as the day is long without winning. Split Of A Second came up one-paced after a wide run without cover better than midfield. It wasn't a bad effort considering the circumstances. Specked at long odds, Inestimable made ground late near the outside after a one-off run behind midfield. He's not far off a bottom after hitting the line better in his past two starts following a downgrade. U W Brother kept on evenly after a box-seat run. He needed the outing following a fetlock injury. E Honey came up flat after a rails run in midfield. He's now disappointed in back-to-back runs.

Racing Incident Report

Race Two: (577) - PERCIVAL HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1000Meters

UNIVERSAL CROWN began only fairly and then was hampered by SUNNY AND GOLD which shifted out.

INESTIMABLE stumbled badly on jumping and then was steadied to obtain cover.

MULTIPLE STAR got its head up on jumping when being steadied to obtain cover.

Near the 850 Metres, U W BROTHER raced tight outside SHANGHAI POWER when being steadied to obtain cover.

BRAVE POWER made the turn after the 600 Metres awkwardly and lost ground.

SUNNY SMILE lay out making the turn after the 600 Metres.

Passing the 200 Metres, ATHENA got its head on the side and lay in towards the heels of INESTIMABLE.

Over the concluding stages, SPLIT OF A SECOND was awkwardly placed outside the heels of SUNNY AND GOLD which shifted out and away from SHANGHAI POWER which shifted out under pressure.

Because of this, SPLIT OF A SECOND was not able to be fully tested.

Throughout the race, SPLIT OF A SECOND travelled wide and without cover.

A veterinary inspection of E HONEY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

VIVA MAMA and SHANGHAI POWER were sent for sampling.
