Racing Incident Report
Race Eight: (583) - BOWRINGTON HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
From a wide barrier, PROUD DRAGON was steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
CALIFORNIA REDWOOD was also steadied in the early stages to obtain a position with cover.
After the 1000 Metres, GLORIOUS STARLIGHT travelled keenly after being steadied to obtain cover behind RACING FIGHTER.
Near the 950 Metres, PRIDE OF EIGHT commenced to travel keenly when being steadied to obtain a position behind GLORIOUS STARLIGHT.
Near the 700 Metres, PRIDE OF EIGHT shifted in and bumped the hindquarters of PROUD DRAGON which became unbalanced.
Passing the 600 Metres, SPARKLING DRAGON was awkwardly placed behind ROMAN TURBO.
After the 500 Metres, PRIDE OF EIGHT raced tight outside PROUD DRAGON which shifted out from behind SEIZING THE MOMENT.
After the 150 Metres, SEIZING THE MOMENT and FAMILY FOLKS raced tight.
Throughout the race, BE READY travelled wide and without cover.
After the race, Z Purton stated that, in his opinion, PARTY WARRIOR was disappointing tonight.
He said after enjoying a good run behind the lead, PARTY WARRIOR was able to obtain clear running at the entrance to the Straight and after initially responding satisfactorily to his riding did not finish the race off over the concluding stages.
A veterinary inspection of PARTY WARRIOR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Also after the race, it was noted that GLORIOUS STARLIGHT had bled from both nostrils.
SEIZING THE MOMENT and ROMAN TURBO were sent for sampling.

Favourite Seizing The Moment took the short route home after a rails run behind midfield to just deny both Roman Turbo and Be Ready for a second win from three starts following a move to blinkers. He's having a sterling first campaign and can win again. Roman Turbo was just touched off late after poking his head in front 50m out after tracking the leader Decisive Twelve one-off from a wide draw. It was a return to form following a gear change. Be Ready nearly prevailed after a prominent run wide without cover carrying top weight from gate 12. He's a winner waiting to happen after catching the eye in back-to-back runs. Family Folks ran on steadily after a rails run in midfield to finish a close fourth. It was a better effort than his past few with a gear change to blinkers. Proud Dragon wasn't too far away in the end after a patient ride second last from a wide draw. He's capable but not reliable. California Redwood made a steady bid to just miss a pay slip after a wide trip with cover in midfield. He's crying out for a longer trip. Punted late, Party Warrior just plodded when asked for more after a prominent run. He had an off day.
