Racing Incident Report
Race Eleven: (692) - EXULTANT HANDICAP - Class 3 - 2000Meters
SMILING TIME shifted out at the start and bumped PERFECT MARYKNOLL.
From the outside barriers, NATURAL STORM and COPARTNER ELITES were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After passing the winning post on the first occasion, VICTORY PARK was awkwardly placed outside BLASTOISE when being steadied in an attempt to obtain cover.
However, VICTORY PARK travelled very wide and without cover throughout the race.
For some distance in the early stages, COPARTNER ELITES (C Y Ho) travelled keenly and passing the 1200 Metres was checked away from the heels of SUPERBELLA.
After this, COPARTNER ELITES continued to travel keenly.
After the race, C Y Ho stated that due to the manner in which COPARTNER ELITES travelled as a result of the slow tempo of the race, the horse was not able to finish the race off as well as anticipated.
BLASTOISE travelled wide and without cover until after the 900 Metres at which time PERFECT MARYKNOLL was left racing wide and without cover.
Passing the 300 Metres, INTREPID WINNER was shifted out a number of horses to continue improving.
After the race, B Shinn (SUPERBELLA) stated that, in his opinion, the tempo of the race was the reason for the horse's failure to finish off the race.
He said SUPERBELLA travelled too keenly in the early and middle stages due to the slow tempo of the race and because of this was not able to close off.
A veterinary inspection of SUPERBELLA immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of BLASTOISE, SUPER OASIS and VICTORY PARK immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
FIVE G PATCH and TOTAL POWER were sent for sampling.

Favourite Five G Patch got the gaps when required to win going away 120m out after biding his time third last along the inside from a wide draw. The writing had been on the wall last start and there's clearly more to come from him. Total Power found one too smart after surging to the front 200m out after a one-out, one-back run. He's not easy to get right. Intrepid Winner came from last to grab a placing 50m out. He keeps promising without delivering. Enzemble wouldn't go down without a fight dictating the run from gate one. He seems to act best over this trip. Natural Storm ran on steadily to nearly fill the frame after finding the fence worse than midfield from gate 13. He was able to back up some good form in Class Four. Copartner Elites ran on without menacing down the outside after making his run second last from the widest gate. The big weight took its toll. Perfect Maryknoll held his ground after a wide with cover trip better than midfield. He's gone OK in back-to-back runs following a Class Four success. Super Oasis peaked on his run 100m out after a one-out, one-back run. He's not reliable.
