Racing Incident Report
Race Six: (707) - SHA TIN HEIGHTS HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
SPICY SKEWER began only fairly and from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Also from the outside barriers, SOARING TOWER and FORTUNE TURBO were shifted across behind runners shortly after the start.
E RAINBOW shifted out on jumping, bumped CHICKEN DANCE and became unbalanced.
Then a short distance after the start, E RAINBOW was crowded for room between CHICKEN DANCE and FALCON TURBO which was taken out by ENCHANTING IBIS.
PERFETTO was steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
BEAUTY TYCOON made the turn after the 900 Metres awkwardly.
Passing the 400 Metres, ENCHANTING IBIS raced tight inside COLONEL which got its head on the side and lay in under pressure.
FALCON TURBO was held up for clear running from passing the 300 Metres until near the 100 Metres.
SPICY SKEWER was also held up for clear running over the concluding stages and because of this was not able to be ridden out all the way to the end of the race.
CALIFORNIA VANES was unable to obtain clear running at any stage in the Straight and because of this was not able to be tested.
Throughout the race, COLONEL travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of UNTOLD RICHES immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
CALIFORNIA VANES, PHOENIX LIGHT and BEAUTY TYCOON were sent for sampling.

Phoenix Light got up when it counted in the last stride after finding a nice position oneoff behind midfield from an awkward gate for a first win at his fifth start. He relished the downgrade after flashing ability in a few runs in Class Three. Late-fancied Beauty Tycoon was nipped on the wire after hitting the front 150m out following a wide trip with cover better than midfield from a wide draw. He's made a good impression in both starts. Falcon Turbo was badly held up until switching into the open 100m out following a rails run behind midfield. He should have gone close to winning with unimpeded running. Enchanting Ibis kept on one-paced to just miss a placing after a one-off run fore of midfield. It was another honest effort carrying top weight. Dragon Kingdom was on his tippy toes 100m out after going forward to lead from gate six. E Rainbow ran on reasonably well after making his run five back on the fence. He's shown promise in his two starts but just needs more time and education. Favourite California Vanes was badly held up for the entire straight after a box-seat run.
