Racing Incident Report
Race One: (721) - RACING DEVELOPMENT BOARD HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1200Meters
HAPPY TIME began awkwardly, shifted out and brushed the hindquarters of DASHING GENIUS.
THE MULTIPLIER lifted its front feet off the ground as the start was effected and began only fairly.
BOYS PARTY began only fairly and then despite being vigorously ridden along in the early stages failed to muster speed.
Also despite being ridden along in the early stages, JADE THEATRE failed to muster speed and approaching the 800 Metres raced tight between BOYS PARTY and HAPPY TIME.
JADE THEATRE was then left racing wide and without cover passing the 700 Metres.
Approaching the 1100 Metres, HAPPY TIME was eased away from the heels of DASHING GENIUS.
HAPPY TIME got its head on the side and lay out making the turns after the 700 Metres.
Near the 150 Metres, BOYS PARTY and GENERAL TRUMP bumped.
After the race, K C Leung reported that STEEL WIN did not travel well at any stage of today's race.
He said he was instructed to ride STEEL WIN in as forward a position as possible, however, despite being ridden along for some distance in the early stages STEEL WIN was not able to muster speed and raced further back in the field than had been hoped.
He added that despite being placed under pressure rounding the Home Turn and in the early part of the Straight STEEL WIN did not finish the race off.
A veterinary inspection of STEEL WIN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

BOYS PARTY, TELECOM MISSILE and THE MULTIPLIER were sent for sampling.

Punted late Telcom Missile took control 250m out after finding a lovely spot one off in third from gate 12 to ring up a second 1,200m win on both Sha Tin surfaces this season. He's honest and relished a return to Sha Tin. The Multiplier ran on nicely to grab second near the 100m after a prominent run along the fence. It was his best effort from 13 local starts following a downgrade. Ruby Stars stayed on for third after a one-off trip in midfield. He's shown progress in three of his past four starts following a gear change. General Trump came from towards the rear to fill the frame. He was able to back up a closing second last start but got too far back in the run. Handsome Rebel weakened 100m out after being hustled to lead from gate eight. He's close to a bottom. Boys Party ran on without menacing after settling five back and one off the fence. He is not good enough to give them that much of a head start and always risky at short odds. Regency Gem made some ground from the rear. Early favourite Steel Win found nothing after making his run five back on the fence. It was another disappointing run.
