Recap by phillip woo

Excellent Peers took control 160m out after a dream run in the box-seat for back-to-back wins. He's racing well and should remain competitive up in grade off a light weight. Sugar Sugar ran on nicely after making his run third last from gate 12 to grab second 50m out. He's been building towards a win in his six starts. See U Again just held on for third after prompting the pace of Mighty Valor to his outside from a tricky gate. It was another honest effort. Master Of Luck just out-bobbed Aeroversary for a quartet spot after a handy run one-off the fence. It was an improved effort at his third start. Aeroversary ran on steadily to make it close for fourth after a rails run in midfield. It was a better effort at his third career start and first over the course. Sixth Generation kept on evenly after a wide run without cover in midfield. He's destined for Class Five. Mighty Valor stopped badly after dictating the run from gate one. He has not been racing well and the downgrade carrying top weight didn't help. Lucky Ruby will sleep well after a prominent run wide without cover the entire trip from an awkward gate.

Racing Incident Report

Race Seven: (737) - DANDELION HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

On arrival at the Start, THE GOOD DEAL, which kicked a rail in the Parade Ring, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.

HOLI MOLI began only fairly and then lost ground when crowded for room inside SIXTH GENERATION which shifted in.

MIGHTY VALOR and SEE U AGAIN bumped at the start.

From wide barriers, MANAGEMENT FOLKS and SUGAR SUGAR were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

After initially being ridden along in the early stages, UTOPIA LIFE was steadied passing the 1100 Metres to obtain cover.

Near the 850 Metres, SIXTH GENERATION was steadied away from the heels of THE GOOD DEAL which got its head on the side and lay in and then was reluctant to maintain its position between EXCELLENT PEERS and MASTER OF LUCK.

Near the 350 Metres, THE GOOD DEAL raced tight between SIXTH GENERATION and SUGAR SUGAR which shifted out when being checked away from the heels of AEROVERSARY.

Passing the 150 Metres, A Badel (SUGAR SUGAR) dropped his whip.

As this was the third occasion this season that A Badel had been reported to have dropped his whip in races, he was placed on notice that should he offend again in the near future, further action may be taken.

Throughout the race, LUCKY RUBY travelled wide and without cover.

After the race, L Hewitson reported that MIGHTY VALOR's action shortened noticeably in the Straight and as he was concerned regarding the manner in which the horse's action deteriorated, he eased MIGHTY VALOR down over the concluding stages.

A veterinary inspection of MIGHTY VALOR immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its right front leg.

Before being allowed to race again, MIGHTY VALOR will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

It was reported that upon return to Sha Tin, MASTER OF LUCK was found to be lame in the left front leg.

MASTER OF LUCK will be examined by the Veterinary Officer in accordance with routine practice tomorrow morning.

EXCELLENT PEERS and SUGAR SUGAR were sent for sampling.
