Racing Incident Report
Race Eight: (118) - THE PREMIER BOWL (HANDICAP) - Class G2 - 1200Meters
SKY FIELD began only fairly.
DUKE WAI shifted out at the start and bumped the hindquarters of MASTER EIGHT.
CORDYCEPS SIX began awkwardly and shifted out towards the heels of WELLINGTON.
SKY FIELD was held up for clear running in the early part of the Straight and passing the 300 Metres was crowded for room inside LUCKY PATCH when improving into tight running inside that horse which shifted in before being directed back out to relieve the tightening.
SKY FIELD was then shifted out away from the heels of DUKE WAI passing the 200 Metres to obtain clear running.
STRONGER was held up for clear running from passing the 400 Metres until after the 300 Metres.
STRONGER then had some difficulty obtaining clear running until passing the 200 Metres and after the 100 Metres was shifted in away from the heels of DUKE WAI to continue improving.
COURIER WONDER lay in under pressure in the Straight.
Throughout the race, SIGHT SUCCESS travelled wide and without cover.
WELLINGTON and LUCKY SWEYNESSE were sent for sampling.

Wellington took control 60m out after taking the trail behind leader Lucky Sweynesse for an 11th win from 17 starts. It was a huge run carrying top weight and he's on his way to retaining his crown as Champion Sprinter. Odds-on favourite Lucky Sweynesse kept on gamely after working hard to lead 900m out from a wide draw. It was a solid performance thrown in the deep end for the first time here. Sky Field ran on nicely to just take third despite getting held up for a run until the 200m ridden out back after a sluggish start. He's on track to try to defend his HK Sprint title in December. Master Eight ran on steadily to just miss a placing after a rails run in midfield. It was a better effort second-up this season. Well-backed late Duke Wai ran on well from behind midfield to just miss the frame. He's as honest as the day is long. Cordyceps Six ran on without menacing ridden one from the rear from a middle draw. It wasn't a bad effort against the top sprinters here. Lucky Patch was a non-factor after a wide trip in midfield. Sight Success will sleep well after a prominent run wide without cover.
