Recap by phillip woo

Money Catcher kept finding to hold off the favourite Beauty Joy after a perfectly-rated run leading from a middle draw. He had been knocking on the door and the 20-pound advantage in the weights was the difference in the end. Beauty Joy came to win the race three deep rounding the final bend travelling one-off in third but couldn't overhaul the leader. It was a big run carrying top weight. Senor Toba kept on one paced for third after going forward to track the leader from a wide gate 1,300m out. He's run with merit in both starts this term. Turin Redsun stayed on a non-threatening fourth after a one-off run better than midfield. It was a better run second-up but he'll need to lift off his current mark. Savvy Nine ran on late from near the rear for a minor cheque. It was another honest effort. Butterfield ran on without menacing ridden one from the rear after a tardy start. He rarely produces a bad run over 1,800m. Celestial Power made some ground from the rear of the field. He wasn't good enough at this level. Ka Ying Star cost himself making his run behind midfield after a slow start.

Racing Incident Report

Race Seven: (146) - THE SA SA LADIES' PURSE (HANDICAP) - Class G3 - 1800Meters

As the start was effected, KA YING STAR kicked out behind and consequently was slow to begin.

After this, KA YING STAR was ridden along, however, was unable to obtain a forward position and consequently raced back in the field.

SAVVY NINE began only fairly.

BUTTERFIELD, which was leaning on the outside of its gate, began awkwardly and lost ground.

BEAUTY JOY shifted out at the start and brushed EXCELLENT PROPOSAL.

Near the 1300 Metres, EXCELLENT PROPOSAL was left racing wide and without cover.

Passing the 1300 Metres, BEAUTY JOY got its head up when being crossed by SENOR TOBA.

At the 450 Metres, EXCELLENT PROPOSAL was shifted out away from the heels of TURIN REDSUN which improved to the outside of BEAUTY JOY.

Approaching the 50 Metres, BEAUTY JOY raced tight outside MONEY CATCHER which shifted out.

After the race, it was reported that COLUMBUS COUNTY had bled from both nostrils.

A veterinary inspection of KA YING STAR and EXCELLENT PROPOSAL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

MONEY CATCHER and BEAUTY JOY were sent for sampling.
