Racing Incident Report
Race Three: (390) - PO TIN HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1000Meters
After being loaded into the barriers, SHOW RESPECT reared in the barriers, struck its head on the overhead structure and momentarily got its right front leg over the barrier partition.
SHOW RESPECT was removed from its barrier and examined by the Veterinary Officer who said that the horse was not suitable to race.
Acting on this advice, SHOW RESPECT was withdrawn by order the Stewards.
Before being allowed to race again, SHOW RESPECT will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
SAVVY DELIGHT, which was fractious in the barriers, jumped only fairly and was inclined to lay in over the final 300 Metres.
On jumping, TALENTS SUPREMO made contact with the right side of its barrier, became unbalanced and lost ground.
LEAN MASTER jumped only fairly.
DIAMOND FLARE jumped awkwardly.
A veterinary inspection of RUN RUN COOL and LUCKY FUN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
SUPER FORTUNE, WE ARE HERO and QUADRUPLE DOUBLE were sent for sampling.

Early favourite We Are Hero showed good turn of foot to win going away 150m out after a patient ride second last from an inside gate for a third win from his past four starts following a gear change. He should remain competitive up in grade off a light weight. Quadruple Double wore down long-time leader Super Fortune for second after a handy run on the stands side. He has decent form over the Sha Tin straight. Late-fancied favourite Super Fortune knocked up late after leading from gate 10. He rarely produces a bad run at Sha Tin. Happy Mission came from towards the rear to fill the frame. He appears to be crying out for 1,200m after making ground late in both local runs over the minimum trip. Savvy Delight ran on steadily from midfield after a tardy start. He has gone all right in both starts this term. Talents Supremo held his ground travelling better than midfield. It was a shade better effort on his two starts at the Valley. Run Run Cool just held his ground travelling forward of midfield on the far side from. The big weight and awkward gate took its toll. Show Respect was withdrawn by order of the stewards.
