Racing Incident Report
Race Ten: (492) - TAK KU LING HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
DREAM PURSUER jumped only fairly and lay in in the Straight.
DIVINE SHINING jumped awkwardly, made contact with the left side of its barrier and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
From a wide barrier, PHOENIX LIGHT was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
From the outside barrier, DECISIVE TWELVE was also shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
When being steadied to obtain cover in the middle stages, SPEEDY MOUSE got its head up when racing ungenerously.
Near the 900 Metres, TATTENHAM got its head up when racing keenly in a position close to the heels of DREAM PURSUER.
HAPPY MISSION hung out in the middle stages.
After the race, L Currie (DIVINE SHINING) reported that his mount lay out in the Straight and proved difficult to ride out.
Also after the race, A Badel reported that despite being vigorously ridden along from the 800 Metres, PHOENIX LIGHT did not respond to his riding and raced in a disappointing manner.
A veterinary inspection of DRAGON'S LUCK immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils.
A veterinary inspection of PHOENIX LIGHT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
GOLDEN EXPRESS and WONDER KIT were sent for sampling.

Racing Laboratory tests of SMILING FACE, OUR CREED, CHARIZARD, SIXTH GENERATION, HK DRAGON, CORDYCEPS ONE, A AMERIC TE SPECSO, HAPPY TRIO, REACH GOAL, REGENCY MASTER, SNOWALOT, RIGHTEOUS ARION, HOSS, VICTORY SCHOLARS, CALIFORNIA DEEPLY, ATOMIC FORCE, SEASONS WIT, STAR CONTACT, HAPPY DAILY, EXCEPTIONAL NICE, HOWDEEPISYOURLOVE and MAJESTIC KNIGHT (1.3.23) proved negative.

Favourite Golden Express responded nicely to take control 150m out following a rail run better than midfield for a first local win at his fourth start. The writing had been on the wall and he certainly can win again. Wonder Kid stayed on well to finish a clear-cut second after chasing the leading pair from a tricky gate. He's improving with each starts and can salute shortly. Super Fortune knocked up late after setting a strong pace. It was another honest front running effort. Dream Pursuer finished well for fourth after making his run one off from midfield. He's run well for fourths in two of three starts. Happy Mission made headway from behind midfield to finish next best. He's been in the mix in each of his three local starts. Speedy Mouse ran on without threatening after a one off run from behind midfield. He wasn't able to cope carrying 13 pounds more following a win at the Valley. Second favourite Dragon's Luck was stopping 200m out after rolling forward three wide to track the leader from gate 11. He couldn't overcome top weight.
