Recap by phillip woo

One For All found the front from gate 12 and comfortably made all for his third victory in a row since switching to Happy Valley's 1,200m. He could win again if he remains in the grade. Charming Steed got up in the last stride for second place after chasing the speed one off the fence. It was another honest performance. Cheer For South lost second in the final strides after his pace-stalking run on the rail. It was his best performance of his four starts. Favourite Snowalot jumped out of his skin late to fill the frame after a patient ride second last from barrier eight. It was another fine effort carrying more weight following his last-start win. Diamond Flare came up one-paced after his prominent run wide without cover. It was his best local display. Circuit Booming got tired after travelling on the fence better than midfield. He needed the outing after his 455-day injury-induced absence. Above All made some ground without threatening after biding his time three from the rear. He could not build on his improved last-start effort when he placed from the box seat. Hercules only beat a few gallopers from towards the rear.

Racing Incident Report

Race Six: (669) - SIU SAI WAN HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

TELECOM SPIRIT jumped only fairly and then became badly unbalanced when bumped heavily by PRECISION GOAL which shifted out abruptly.

As a result, TELECOM SPIRIT was taken out onto the hindquarters of ABOVE ALL which became unbalanced and was steadied when racing tight to the inside of CHEER FOR SOUTH.

HERCULES jumped awkwardly and lost ground and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

When being shifted across behind runners, HERCULES got its head up when it shifted in towards SNOWALOT.

SUPER JOY also jumped only fairly and was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Approaching the 600 Metres, CHARMING STEED was taken out by CHEER FOR SOUTH and as a result raced wide and without cover thereafter.

A short distance later, PRECISION GOAL improved into a tight run between CHARMING STEED and CIRCUIT BOOMING and was steadied when crowded between those runners.

GOLDEN LUCK, which was following, was steadied to avoid PRECISION GOAL and then hung out across the heels of DIAMOND FLARE.

GOLDEN LUCK then continued to hang out throughout the middle stages.

Passing the 50 Metres, DIAMOND FLARE shifted in and bumped CIRCUIT BOOMING.

After the race, M Chadwick (PRECISION GOAL) reported that his mount raced keenly in the early stages and did not appreciate racing inside DIAMOND FLARE throughout the middle stages.

He added, in his opinion, PRECISION GOAL is much better suited when being able to dictate terms in front.

A veterinary inspection of PRECISION GOAL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Also after the race, H Bowman (CIRCUIT BOOMING ) advised that his mount would derive benefit from tonight's performance.

A veterinary inspection of CIRCUIT BOOMING immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Following the race, C Y Ho (HERCULES) reported that his mount found it difficult to make up ground after settling back in the field.

A veterinary inspection of HERCULES immediately following the race found that horse to have an epiglottic entrapment.

After the race, R Maia (ABOVE ALL) stated that his mount settled further back in the field after being crowded at the start and then found it difficult to make up ground due to setting towards the back of the field.

A veterinary inspection of ABOVE ALL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

A veterinary inspection of GOLDEN LUCK immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

SNOWALOT, ONE FOR ALL and CHARMING STEED were sent for sampling.
