Racing Incident Report
Race Eight: (729) - SHUNG LING HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1000Meters
HARMONY AND RICH was withdrawn on 6.6.23 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (swollen left front leg).
Before being allowed to race again, HARMONY AND RICH will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
EQUALETTA BLITZ jumped only fairly.
ATOMIC ENERGY shifted out at the start and bumped KEEP YOU WARM.
GORGEOUS VITALITY jumped only fairly and from the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
From a wide barrier, TORONADO PHANTOM was also shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
ATOMIC ENERGY raced ungenerously in the early and middle stages and making the first turn hung out.
KEEP YOU WARM lost its right hind plate near the 600 Metres.
Whilst the Stewards were satisfied that the riding of M Dee (TORONADO PHANTOM), 6th placegetter, over the concluding stages did not affect the horse's finishing position, he was nonetheless reminded of his obligation to ensure that he fully rides his mounts out to the finish of the race.
After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that HARMONY FIRE had bled from both nostrils.
A veterinary inspection of ATOMIC ENERGY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
SEASONS WIT and HARMONY N BLESSED were sent for sampling.

Firming favourite Seasons Wit ran down long-time leader Harmony N Blessed 50m out after his box-seat run to make it two wins on the trot. There is more to come from the three-year-old galloper, who won a Morphettville Parks maiden event in Australia. Harmony N Blessed would not go down without a fight after finding the front from gate four. He ran another cracker but has had to play second fiddle to the winner in backto- back races. Equaletta Blitz dashed late to take third ahead of Atomic Energy after making his run three from the rear. It was one of his better runs this term. Atomic Energy ran on steadily to narrowly miss a placing after his midfield run. It was another honest effort. Drops Of God only held his ground after getting all the favours on the fence. Toronado Phantom came from near last along the inside to finish next best. He needs 1,200m. Atomic Force plodded after his one-out, one-back run. He could not lift carrying top weight down in Class Three. Gorgeous Vitality just got by a pair of struggling rivals from the rear of the field.
