Favourite All Is Good got up 60m out for a fourth straight win after a prominent run. He handled the right in class without a hitch and can head higher. Big Red ran on nicely along the inside to win a blanket finish for second after a patient ride two from the rear. He did place in one of three starts last term and is heading in the right direction. Snaffles came from last and near the outside to finish level for third. He had flashed ability in a few of his eight starts last term. Circuit Mighty grudgingly gave way to finish dead heat for third after vying for the early lead. It was another honest effort. In a change of tactics, Outgate found a few too good after working hard to lead 1,050m out from the widest draw. He's still acclimatising but clearly has shown hints of ability in his four local starts. Bon's A Pearla came up flat following a rails run from midfield. She appeared to need the outing. Precise Express made some ground without threatening from behind midfield. Tempest Express was gone 200m out after chasing the speed wide without cover.

Racing Incident Report

Race Seven: (7) - SUNSET PEAK HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1400Meters

BON'S A PEARLA jumped awkwardly and then was crowded between ALL IS GOOD and PRECISE EXPRESS.

CAPITAL LEGEND also jumped awkwardly.

For some distance approaching the 600 Metres, PRECISE EXPRESS raced tight to the inside of CHARITY BINGO.

Over the final 150 Metres, PRECISE EXPRESS raced tight between BON'S A PEARLA and TEMPEST EXPRESS and as a result had some difficulty securing clear running.

TEMPEST EXPRESS raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

After the race, H Bowman (CHARITY BINGO) stated that his mount raced keenly in the middle stages and as a result did not finish the race off as well as expected.

A veterinary inspection of CHARITY BINGO immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Also after the race, C L Chau (BON'S A PEARLA) reported that his mount would derive benefit from today's performance.

Following the race, L Hewitson (BIG RED) reported that his instructions were, from a wide barrier, to ride his mount conservatively in the early stages to allow it the best opportunity to run on in the Home Straight.

A veterinary inspection of CAPITAL LEGEND immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

ALL IS GOOD and BIG RED were sent for sampling.
