Racing Incident Report
Race Nine: (27) - CENTRAL HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters
WINNING DATA was slow to begin.
LEAN HERO and HORSESAIN BOLT bumped on jumping.
COPARTNER AMBITION shifted out at the start and bumped CHAMPION INSTINCT.
Between the 400 Metres and the 200 Metres, OWNERS' PRAISE was held up for clear running behind CHAMPION INSTINCT.
OWNERS' PRAISE was then shifted to the outside of CHAMPION INSTINCT and HORSESAIN BOLT in an attempt to obtain clear running near the 200 Metres, but again became held up behind COPARTNER AMBITION at the 150 Metres and could not be ridden out to the finish of the event.
Near the 200 Metres, BEAUTY MISSION improved into a narrow run between COPARTNER AMBITION and LEAN HERO and then raced tight between those two runners over the final 150 Metres, restricting its rider, M Chadwick, being able to fully ride his mount out to the finish of the event.
CHANCHENG GLORY raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
After the race, L Ferraris (TATTENHAM) reported that his mount hung out making the Home Turn and as a result ran wide.
A veterinary inspection of TATTENHAM immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Also after the race, L Hewitson (KING OF THE COURT) stated that his mount was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event which resulted in KING OF THE COURT not being able to finish the race off strongly.

Following the race, H Bentley (PROUD DRAGON) stated that his mount settled back in the field and failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight.

OWNERS' PRAISE, SUPER WINNER and COPARTNER AMBITION were sent for sampling.

Old-timer Super Winner took control 30m out after getting all favours in the box seat to make it back-to-back successes after an opening day win over 1,200m. He's racing in a great vein of form but will likely find things much harder next time out in a higher grade. Copartner Ambition stayed on well to finish a close second from better than midfield. He's a winner waiting to happen at this level. River Views wouldn't go down without a fight after clearing to the lead from gate 12. It was another good run. Horsesain Bolt ran on steadily to fill the frame after a prominent run on the fence. He had his chance, but it was another honest performance. Lean Hero made some ground late near the outside after settling behind midfield on the fence. He's better suited over a mile trip. Beauty Mission stayed on okay after a one-off run from midfield. He'll be a force to be reckoned if he finds his way into Class Five. Favourite Owners' Praise was all-dressed up with nowhere to go in the straight run after a rail run from midfield. He should finish closer.
