Well-backed Ensued kept finding after poking his head in front 150m out following a wide without cover trip from midfield for a smart debut win in Hong Kong. Early favourite Snaffles found one just too good after a wide with cover run behind the eventual winner. He's a winner waiting to happen with placings in three starts this term. Swan Bay closed well along the inside to take third from behind midfield. He's an improved runner. California Voce came to win the race 200m out from midfield but came up flat over the last 50m. The big weight was the difference in the end. Post-time favourite Master Of Fortune ran on well down the outside to just miss the frame after a patient ride three from the rear. It was another honest effort. Majestic Victory gradually faded after sharing the early lead along the inside. He went okay. Young Brilliant faded to finish next best after clearing to the lead 1,050m out. Total Power ran on without threatening near the inside from the rear of the field. He'll be tough to beat if he finds his way into Class Four.

Race Six : (87) - SHA KOK HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1800Meters

Horse No 1 CALIFORNIA VOCE (H258) H Bowman Jumped awkwardly and made contact with the left side of its barrier.

Horse No 2 PACKING HURRICANE (H137) E C W Wong Raced tight for some distance shortly after the start.

Over the concluding stages raced tight to the inside of POWERFUL WINGS.

Apprentice E C W Wong was reminded of his obligations not to use the whip on a horse which is out of contention.

Horse No 3 POWERFUL WINGS (G225) A Badel Raced tight for some distance shortly after the start.

Passing the 1000 Metres was bumped when taken in by MASTER OF FORTUNE.

Horse No 4 SECRET VISION (G302) B Avdulla Shifted in and was bumped shortly after the start.

Lay in under pressure in the Home Straight.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 5 S J TOURBILLON (G138) H Bentley From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Horse No 6 SNAFFLES (G299) K Teetan Was sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 8 SUPER FOOTBALL (D465) K C Leung A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 9 SWAN BAY (H062) L Ferraris Was held up for clear running making the Home Turn.

For a short distance after the 200 Metres was again held up when improving into a narrow run between CALIFORNIA VOCE and YOUNG BRILLIANT.

Horse No 11 ENSUED (H452) Z Purton Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Was sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 12 MASTER OF FORTUNE (G474) C Y Ho Was sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 13 HARRY'S HERO (H332) L Hewitson Over-raced in the early stages when endeavouring to obtain cover behind SECRET VISION.

When unable to obtain cover, was allowed to stride forward near the 1300 Metres.

After the race, L Hewitson reported that his mount hung out making the Home Turn and proved difficult to ride out before giving ground in the Home Straight.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

The performance and racing manners of HARRY'S HERO were considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, HARRY'S HERO will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial around a bend in Hong Kong and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
