Recap by phillip woo

Chancheng Glory kept finding under pressure after claiming the lead 1,200m out from gate two to make it two on the trot following a step up to 1,600m wearing blinkers. Master Hero stuck on gamely for second after rolling forward from an awkward gate to prompt the pace. He's a winner waiting to happen with placings in his past two of three starts this term. Aestheticism caught a second win to get up to win a photo for third after a wide trip with cover from midfield. He's done well in each of his three starts. Mister Dapper was short of room at times but still ran on nicely for fourth after biding his time three from the rear. It was an eye-catching debut performance. Strongest Boy ran on reasonably well near the outside after a wide with cover travelling behind midfield from gate 13. He'll be hard to beat from a better draw. Celtic Times just held his ground after getting an ideal run in the one-one spot. He lacks the desire to win a race.

Race Four : (104) - GOLF 1600M HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1600Meters

Horse No 1 CHANCHENG GLORY (H212) H Bentley Was noted to have lost its left front plate on arrival at the Start and was subsequently replated.

Was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 2 PERFETTO (G198) L Ferraris Jumped only fairly and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

In the middle stages raced keenly.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 4 NOBLE WIN (H195) A Badel From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Horse No 5 MASTER HERO (D501) Y L Chung Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 6 MISTER DAPPER (H376) B Avdulla When questioned regarding his riding, B Avdulla stated that he was instructed to settle his mount where comfortable and anticipated taking up a midfield position.

He said after being crossed by ARTHUR'S KINGDOM in the early stages, MISTER DAPPER was awkwardly placed on the heels of that runner.

He said from the 600 Metres he was unable to improve when held up behind ARTHUR'S KINGDOM and further could not shift out as NOBLE WIN was positioned directly to his outside.

He added on straightening he shifted MISTER DAPPER back to the inside to secure clear running whereby he was able to place his mount under full pressure.

He further stated that approaching the 100 Metres he elected to endeavour to secure clear running to the inside of MASTER HERO as he felt MASTER HERO was shifting out slightly.

He said when MASTER HERO was straightened by its rider, Apprentice Y L Chung, he then was unable to improve between that runner and CAPTAIN HURRICANE and did not obtain clear running until near the 50 Metres when he shifted to the outside of MASTER HERO.

Horse No 7 JOYFUL PROSPERITY (H213) K De Melo After the race, K De Melo reported that his instructions from a wide barrier were to endeavour to find cover back in the field.

He said after JOYFUL PROSPERITY jumped well and with the pace of the event being run slower than standard, JOYFUL PROSPERITY was caught wide and without cover despite his efforts in the early stages to ride his mount conservatively.

He further stated that as a result of racing wide and without cover for the majority of the event, JOYFUL PROSPERITY was unable to finish the race off strongly.

Trainer C W Chang confirmed the instructions issued.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 8 STURDY RUBY (H207) K C Leung Crowded shortly after the start.

Horse No 9 AESTHETICISM (H289) A Atzeni Jumped awkwardly.

Horse No 10 PO ON WAY (H201) M L Yeung After the race, M L Yeung explained that due to the slow pace that the event was run at in the early stages, his mount found it difficult to finish the race off.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
