Recap by phillip woo

Lean Hero raced prominently, hit the front 150m out and kept on gamely to record his fourth win on his 14th start and his second victory in his past three races. He has the tools to win another event. Intrepid Warrior finished nicely to edge Frantanck for second after travelling one off the fence worse than midfield. He has returned this season as an improved galloper for his new trainer, Michael Chang Chun-wai. Frantanck grudgingly gave way after tracking the leader, Tourbillon Prince, one off the rail and taking over as the field rounded the final bend. He relished stepping up to 1,800m. Punted late, C P Brave rushed home down the outside to finish a close fourth after settling second last from his tricky gate. He has hit the line with purpose in both of his starts for Ricky Yiu Poon-fai. Quantum Patch made late headway to finish the next best without threatening the top four. He should strip fitter following his wide trip. Maldives made some ground from worse than midfield. He rarely produces a poor performance. Tourbillon Prince was on his tippy toes 100m out after getting his own way in front.
