Racing Incident Report
Race Ten : (166) - PANASONIC IH COOKER HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1400Meters
Horse No 3 JOYFUL HUNTER (H198) L Hewitson When questioned, L Hewitson stated that his mount jumped awkwardly and made contact with KA YING CHEER but travelled well throughout the early and middle stages.
He said after being placed under pressure making the Home Turn JOYFUL HUNTER failed to respond to his riding from that point and raced in a disappointing manner.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of JOYFUL HUNTER was considered to be disappointing as compared to its previous starts.
Before being allowed to race again, JOYFUL HUNTER will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 CAPITAL LEGEND (G333) E C W Wong Apprentice E C W Wong stated that after his mount commenced awkwardly, he lost the use of his right iron for a short distance before he was able to reposition his foot into the iron.
He said that he was given no specific instructions as to where to settle his mount but in the early stages was caught wide and as a result raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
He added that in the Home Straight CAPITAL LEGEND did not respond to his riding and raced disappointingly.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 RED ACLAIM (J017) A Badel Slow to begin.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 FLYING MOJITO (G412) Z Purton Jumped only fairly.
Raced keenly in the middle stages.
Near the 100 Metres was bumped by RATTAN KINGDOM and as a result shifted out and away from that runner.
Horse No 7 RATTAN KINGDOM (G035) B Avdulla From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 8 SETANTA (G095) K C Leung Jumped only fairly.
Bumped near the 400 Metres and became unbalanced.
Approaching the 100 Metres was disappointed for a run between JOYFUL HUNTER and FLYING MOJITO and was then shifted to the inside to continue into clear running.

Horse No 12 UP AND UP (H163) L Ferraris L Ferraris, who weighed in at 123 lbs, was fined the sum of $3,000 for retuning to scale 2 lbs overweight.

Raced keenly in the middle stages.
Near the 400 Metres was bumped by SETANTA and became unbalanced.
Horse No 2 HYPER DRAGON BALL (G450) C L Chau On arrival at the barriers, C L Chau expressed concern with his mount's action.
Examined by the Veterinary Officer and found to be lame in its right front leg and accordingly was not suitable to race.
Withdrawn by order of the Stewards.
Before being allowed to race again, HYPER DRAGON BALL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Rolling Arrangement The track was not rolled today due to the establishment of winter grass seedlings.

Super Winner led and never looked back after straightening two lengths on top for a third win from five starts this term. D Star ran on steadily along the inside for second without threatening the winner after a prominent run. It was his best run in Class Three. Punted late Ka Ying Cheer lost second late after a pace-stalking run from gate seven. He ran well after a win and third to start his career in Class Four. Amazing Victory ran on well for fourth after switching into the open with one wider out at the 300m following a wide trip from behind midfield. He rarely produces a bad run. Show Respect kept on all right after a one-off run without cover in third. He's shown some improvement in two of three starts this term. Flying Mojito ran on late through the middle to pick up a minor cheque after settling five back and one off the fence. Rattan Kingdom came from last to just miss a pay slip. He's run with merit in his past two over 1,400m and is crying out for a mile trip, preferably at the Valley.
