Race Six : (181) - BOC CREDIT CARD HANDICAP - Class 3 - 2000Meters
Horse No 1 NATURAL STORM (C461) K Teetan From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 2 SWEET ENCOUNTER (G426) L Currie Crowded shortly after the start.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 CALIFORNIA VOCE (H258) M Chadwick A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 TURIN MASCOT (H165) Z Purton Bumped on the hindquarters shortly after the start.
Horse No 5 DEVILDOM (H445) L Hewitson Shortly after the start was checked when crowded between INTREPID WINNER which was taken out by C P BRAVE and SWEET ENCOUNTER which raced tight to the inside of TURIN MASCOT.
Near the 1900 Metres was steadied when racing tight to the inside of INTREPID WINNER.
Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when crowded between NICHOLSON RETURNS and BILLIONAIRE SECRET.
Noted to have sustained an abrasion to the left hind leg and lost its left hind plate after the race.
Horse No 6 PACKING HURRICANE (H137) C Y Ho Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 ENSUED (H452) B Avdulla Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 BILLIONAIRE SECRET (G303) A Atzeni For a short distance near the 400 Metres was held up for clear running.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 10 C P BRAVE (E306) M F Poon When questioned regarding the horse being ridden in a more forward position, M F Poon stated that with the horse stepping up in distance and from an inside barrier, he was instructed by connections to take up a more forward position today.
He said as a result as the start was effected, he rode his mount along in the early stages to comply with his instructions.
Assistant Trainer H F Yiu confirmed the instructions issued.
Horse No 11 INTREPID WINNER (G144) K De Melo Hampered on jumping.
After the race, K De Melo reported that his mount lay in in the Home Straight.
Horse No 12 FRANTANCK (H429) M L Yeung When questioned, M L Yeung confirmed the instructions were to lead today and as his mount is one-paced, to ensure that he set a genuine tempo.
He said as a result he rode his mount forward to lead in the early stages and although he was aware that the pace of the event was faster than standard, he felt FRANTANCK was travelling comfortably through the early and middle stages.
He added that, in his opinion, FRANTANCK would be better suited by the Happy Valley circuit.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Early favourite Ensued ran on down Packing Hurricane 50m out from midfield and one off the fence to remain perfect in two starts this term despite a step up to 2,000m. Packing Hurricane did everything right but get the win after poking his head in front 100m out following a prominent run one off the fence. Swan Bay stayed on well for third after a perfect run on the leader's back. He's a winner to happen after picking up thirds in both starts this term. C P Brave grudgingly gave way after claiming the lead 200m out following a pace-stalking run outside Frantanck. It was another positive showing despite a change in tactics. Intrepid Winner stayed on next best after a handy run on the fence. He found a few too good on this occasion after placing in his first two Valley starts this term. Nicholson Returns ran on without threatening after a patient ride one from the rear. He'll be a forced to be reckoned with if he finds his way into Class Four.
