Race Four : (190) - SHEK LEI PUI HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1000Meters
Horse No 3 HAPPY UNITED (H208) C Y Ho Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 SAVVY DELIGHT (E386) B Avdulla As the start was effected turned its head to the side and as a result lost ground.
Near the 550 Metres lay in, made contact with the running rail and as a result became unbalanced and lost ground.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 KOWLOON EAST STAR (E158) K C Leung Jumped awkwardly and made contact with CIRCUIT SEVEN.
Was then crowded between CIRCUIT SEVEN and CALL ME MIGHTY which shifted in slightly.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 6 PROSPEROUS SMILE (J014) K Teetan After the race, K Teetan reported that with the fast early pace he was obliged to make some use of his mount to hold a forward position as he was instructed.
He said as a result, PROSPEROUS SMILE, which was having its first race start, gave ground in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 8 CIRCUIT SEVEN (D474) Z Purton Bumped on jumping.
After the race, Z Purton stated that his mount raced in a disappointing manner but could offer no explanation for the performance.

Horse No 9 ACE TALENT (H046) M Chadwick Jumped only fairly.
Near the 25 Metres was bumped by GORGEOUS VITALITY which shifted out and then lay out to the finish.
Horse No 10 OVERSUBSCRIBED (C361) A Badel Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 CALL ME MIGHTY (G464) M L Yeung Bumped shortly after the start.
Horse No 12 STRIVE FOR GLORY (D186) A Atzeni After travelling a short distance was crowded between HAPPY UNITED and CALL ME MIGHTY which shifted out.
After the race, A Atzeni reported that due to the fast early pace STRIVE FOR GLORY did not travel well, however, he was not too disappointed with its finishing effort in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Punted late, Happy United dashed well to register his second win in seven starts despite travelling wide without cover worse than midfield. He caught the eye first up this season and should remain competitive up in grade under a light weight. Oversubscribed attracted bags of money late in betting and finished well with one wider out to take second. He is always a chance over 1,000m at Happy Valley. Gorgeous Vitality bided his time fourth last from gate 12 and ran on nicely for a placing. He is well-rated at this level. Ace Talent stayed on well for fourth after his handy run on the rail. It was a return to form after showing little in his first three starts this term. Harmony Fire ran on steadily from better than midfield but did not threaten the placegetters. He needed his first-up run but is in the right grade. Diamond Soars held the fence after a three-way battle up front before weakening 100m out. Savvy Delight got going late when the race was all but over after being slowly away and travelling second last. Circuit Seven did not land a blow after his prominent run on the back of a genuine pace. It was a below-par effort.
