Recap by phillip woo

Starship Eighty came from towards the rear and widest out to just edge long-time leader Precision Goal for a first win at his 19th start. Precision Goal got overhauled in the last stride after slipping three lengths on top 300m out after leading from gate seven. He relished a switch to the dirt. Boom Alliance came to win the race 200m out after a wide trip from midfield but came up one paced over the last 100m. It was another good run on the surface this term despite carrying top weight down in class. Green Laser ran on well to fill the frame with one wider out to finish fourth without threatening the top three after a patient ride one from the rear. He's gone better in his past two starts on this surface and can shortly ring up a win. Devil And Gold kept on all right after rushing forward three wide to sit second from a wide draw 950m out. It was his best run to date with a switch to the dirt. Star Of Glory faded to finish next best after chasing the speed. Fiery Flying was a non-factor after a rail run from midfield. He did not handle a switch in surfaces.
