Race Four : (216) - HANKOW HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 2 CLASSIC MOON (E439) M F Poon Jumped awkwardly, shifted out and bumped with ALWAYS AWESOME.
Obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer??which had previously been reported.
Horse No 3 FRUITY WARRIOR (J035) C Y Ho Shortly after the start was crowded by SPEEDY FORTUNE which shifted in despite the efforts of its rider.
Horse No 4 HAPPYDEARHAPPYDEER (J002) Y L Chung Jumped only fairly.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 JOYFUL LIFE (H426) K C Leung When questioned, K C Leung stated that his mount hung in when placed under pressure in the Home Straight and near the 100 Metres he was obliged to make a concerted effort to shift to the outside of SPEEDY FORTUNE to secure clear running.
K C Leung was warned in relation to using his whip on the shoulder of the horse over the concluding stages.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 7 MR MAESTRO (J033) A Atzeni Jumped awkwardly and then was bumped heavily by LADY BILLIE which shifted out.
Horse No 8 NISHIKADO (H172) L Hewitson Near the 800 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from JOYFUL LIFE.
Horse No 9 LADY BILLIE (H365) M Chadwick Bumped at the start.
Horse No 11 ALWAYS AWESOME (H245) A Badel Crowded at the start.

Ka Ying Rising took control 300m out to win with plenty in hand after recovering from an okay start to track the leader Speedy Fortune one off in second for a smart debut win. He lived up to his trial sand there's clearly more to come from the three-year-old. Strathpeffer stayed on well to just take second from Telecom Dragon after chasing the leading pair from gate four. He was no match for the winner but is clearly a winner waiting to happen with seconds in his past two starts. Telecom Dragon ran on steadily to make it very close for second after a handy run one off the fence. It was another good run carrying more weight following a win. Nishikado ran on steadily to finish next best without threatening the top three after a rails run from midfield. It was his best run from eight starts. Mr Maestro made good ground late to finish next best after a one-off trip from behind midfield. It was an encouraging debut effort. Punted late Speedy Fortune was on his tippy toes 100m out after clearing to the lead from the widest draw. He's not genuine.
