Race Nine : (277) - SPRUCE HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1650Meters
Horse No 1 EVERYONE'S DELIGHT (D029) A Badel The performance of EVERYONE'S DELIGHT, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, EVERYONE'S DELIGHT will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination which must include additional diagnostic assessments.
Horse No 2 TRUE LEGEND (D047) M Chadwick Bumped shortly after the start.
The performance of TRUE LEGEND, which has finished tailed out in recent race starts, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, TRUE LEGEND will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a series of consecutive barrier trials and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 3 CHING (G380) L Hewitson Jumped awkwardly.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 YELLOWFIN (G326) C Y Ho Jumped awkwardly and was bumped.
Horse No 5 FIERY DIAMOND (G022) C L Chau Bumped at the start.
Near the 250 Metres was hampered when taken wider by SEIZING THE MOMENT.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 PERFECT TEAM (H120) E C W Wong Bumped shortly after the start.
Leaving the 150 Metres was shifted to the outside of YELLOWFIN to continue into clear running.
Horse No 7 ADEFILL (G317) J McDonald J McDonald was warned for failing to present himself in the Parade Ring by the required time.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 ABSOLUTE SUNSHINE (H342) K C Leung From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 9 SEIZING THE MOMENT (E444) Z Purton Near the 200 Metres was crowded between FIERY DIAMOND and LOVERO which shifted out when giving ground.
Horse No 10 SO WE JOY (D082) A Atzeni From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Near the 300 Metres became held up behind PERFECT TEAM and was shifted to that runner's outside near the 250 Metres to obtain clear running.
Then experienced further difficulty obtaining clear running near the 200 Metres when held up between SOLAR GOGO and PERFECT TEAM.
Horse No 11 KIMBERLEY (H329) A Hamelin A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 13 LOVERO (H451) Y L Chung Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 14 FRANTANCK (H429) K Teetan Sent for sampling post-race.

Adefill got up in the final few metres to deny Frantanck after travelling on the rail behind midfield. It was his fourth win on the all-weather circuit and his first victory over the dirt 1,650m. He is a very honest performer on this surface. Frantanck gave a good sight after settling one off the fence from gate 11 and hitting the front 200m out. He is a winner waiting to happen. Perfect Team dashed late from towards the rear to edge early favourite Yellowfin for third without threatening the top two. He rarely produces a bad effort on this surface. Yellowfin grudgingly gave way after working hard in front from gate nine. It was a good effort carrying more weight following his recent win. Plunged late, So We Joy ran on well to finish the next best after Andrea Atzeni took him to the back of the field from gate 14. He is quite honest on this surface. Seizing The Moment made ground without threatening the placegetters after biding his time two from the rear. It was a better effort on his sixth start this term. Ching plodded when Lyle Hewitson asked him for asked for his effort. His switch to the dirt did not pay off.
