Recap by phillip woo

Second favourite C P Brave responded nicely to win going away 150m out after a one-off trip from better than midfield. He was able to lift carrying 11 pounds more following a facile course and distance win last start. Swan Bay came from last and widest out to grab second near the 100m. It was a good run on the back of a muddling pace, and he can bob up at any moment following placings in three of five runs this term. Romantic Charm ran on steadily along the inside to snatch third from Kimberley after a rail run from midfield. He's run well with a step back up to 1,800m in his past two starts. Kimberley just lost a placing late after settling slow fractions in front from gate four. It was his best effort on turf after placing in one of two prior starts trying the dirt course. U S S Constitution just held onto fifth after a prominent run. He's still settling into his surroundings. Favourite Aestheticism ran on to pick up a minor cheque following a patient ride two from the rear. Golden Samurai only beat a couple down the outside after making his run one from the rear. He didn't click with a rise in trip.
