Race Four : (346) - THE HONG KONG CLUB CHALLENGE CUP (HANDICAP) - Class 3 - 1000Meters
Horse No 1 HARMONY N BLESSED (E061) B Avdulla Jumped only fairly and then was crowded shortly after the start.
After the race, B Avdulla stated that with his mount dropping back from 1200 Metres to 1000 Metres, it did not travel strongly.
He added that HARMONY N BLESSED lay in in the Home Straight when placed under pressure and did not respond to his riding.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 HEROIC MASTER (G394) A Atzeni In the middle stages lay out.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 CALIFORNIA DEEPLY (G451) L Ferraris Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 4 BEAUTY GLORY (E459) H Bentley On arrival at the Start, the tongue tie applied to BEAUTY GLORY was replaced.
Horse No 5 ATOMIC ENERGY (H150) Y L Chung When being crossed by FORTUNE WARRIOR near the 700 Metres raced keenly for some distance thereafter.
Horse No 6 NICCONI COUNTY (G208) C Y Ho Bumped on jumping.
Horse No 7 CHAIN OF GOLD (J138) L Hewitson Bumped on jumping.
Horse No 8 ENFOLDED (H336) K C Leung From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Following a speed-chasing run from gate four, favourite Happy United edged clear after claiming the lead from Fortune Warrior 150m out for a second win from his past three starts. He's racing well and can win again. Heroic Master dashed well to edge Atomic Energy for second after a one-off trip in midfield. He's as honest as the day is long. Atomic Energy just lost a quinella spot after a prominent run. He's always a chance over this Valley trip. Nicconi County just missed a placing after a rails run in midfield. He backed up a good effort earlier this month at Sha Tin but he prefers 1,200m. California Deeply ran on noticeably late to finish next best after biding his time two from the rear. It was his best effort from five starts this term. Fortune Warrior was on his tippy toes 100m out after quickly finding the lead wearing blinkers from gate nine. He's not quite good enough off his current mark. Harmony N Blessed found nothing when push came to shove after settling box seat after a sluggish start. It was a below-par effort.
