Race Seven : (357) - THE STEWARDS' CUP - Class G1 - 1600Meters
Horse No 2 VOYAGE BUBBLE (E436) J McDonald Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 STRAIGHT ARRON (G435) C Y Ho Began only fairly.
Horse No 4 RUSSIAN EMPEROR (E198) A Atzeni A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 BEAUTY ETERNAL (H008) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 BEAUTY JOY (E058) K C Leung Slow to begin and was then crowded between RUSSIAN EMPEROR and FANTASTIC TREASURE which shifted out after jumping awkwardly.
Near the 400 Metres was steadied and shifted out from behind STRAIGHT ARRON to obtain clear running.
Horse No 7 HEALTHY HAPPY (D435) A Badel Raced wide and without cover throughout the event.
The performance of HEALTHY HAPPY, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, HEALTHY HAPPY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Horse No 8 FANTASTIC TREASURE (E269) K Teetan Jumped awkwardly.

Firming favourite Voyage Bubble edged clear 150m out after poking his head in front 300m out chasing the speed one off in third for a sixth career win from 15 starts. He stamped himself as one of the top milers. Beauty Eternal tried hard after hitting the lead under the 400m following a pace-stalking run but was no match for the winner. It was another genuine performance. Beauty Joy came from last for third without threatening the top two. He's honest as the day is long without winning. California Spangle had little to offer over the last 100m after bowling to the lead near the 1,300m. He's not the same horse this season. Fantastic Treasure got going to finish next best without threatening the top four from midfield on the fence. He keeps picking up prize money but isn't good enough at this level. Straight Arron only plodded after a one-off trip from midfield. He needs at least 1,800m to show his best. Russian Emperor never got involved travelling one from the rear. He requires a much longer trip. Healthy Happy will sleep well after a torrid trip from midfield.
