Recap by phillip woo

Following a prominent run, even-money favourite Watch Buddy just got his head down when required in a spiriting battle with Healthy Healthy over the last 100m for a third win from his past four starts. Healthy Healthy wouldn't go down without a fight after clearing to the front 900m out. He's holding his form well. Punted late, Champion Method kept on gamely for third after chasing the leader on the fence. It was a return to form wearing blinkers after failing to menace in three prior Class Three contests. Toronado Phantom ran on nicely for fourth after settling one off the fence behind midfield. He continues to run on reasonably well in his past three starts after a win on dirt in December. Golden Darci made up heaps of ground from last for fifth without threatening the top four. He's naturally coming to hand in his five starts. Glorious Journey came up one paced after a handy run on the fence. It was an OK effort on his local debut. Street Conqueror made only a mild bid after travelling one of the rail in midfield.
