Recap by phillip woo

Favourite James Tak drew clear leading 150m out when gaining a clear run 200m out following a box seat run for a second win from four starts. He's a progressive three-yearold and should remain competitive up in grade off a lighter weight. You'remyeverything ran on nicely to just take second after making his run at the rear from gate 11. It was his best run in a long while at his second start down in Class Four. Sky Trust ran on nicely down the outside for third after fading back to last from the widest draw. He's made a good impression in both starts. Silver Destiny ran on well to win a blanket finish of three runners for fourth after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He was able to improve on a debut sixth. Gimme Five kept on all right after a one-out, one-back run. It was a pleasing debut effort. New Power gradually faded after finding the front from gate six. The change in tactics didn't produce the desired result after finishing in the mix in three of his first four starts. Lucky Fionn was held up for a majority of the straight.

Horse No 9 REGENT GLORY (E323) L Hewitson A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 10 NEW POWER (H325) M L Yeung When questioned regarding his mount leading, M L Yeung stated that as NEW POWER had not begun well in its previous race starts, he was asked to ensure that it began well to hold a handy position.

He said when NEW POWER commenced well, he elected to make use of its good start where he rode his mount along in the early stages to hold a forward position.

He added when runners to his inside did not show intent to lead the event, so as to avoid racing wide, he continued to ride his mount along to cross to the lead.

Horse No 11 SPEEDY FORTUNE (H097) Z Purton After the race, Z Purton stated that his intention was to hold a forward position, but despite riding his mount along in the early stages he was unable to cross runners to his inside which resulted in SPEEDY FORTUNE racing wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

He added when placed under pressure in the Home Straight SPEEDY FORTUNE gave ground.

Trainer J Size agreed with the views of Z Purton and stated that the horse had trialed well leading into today's event and he expected it to perform well.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

The performance of SPEEDY FORTUNE was considered to be disappointing as compared to its previous race starts.

Before being allowed to race again, SPEEDY FORTUNE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Horse No 12 NISHIKADO (H172) B Thompson Steadied away from SPEEDY FORTUNE approaching the 900 Metres when racing keenly.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils.

Before being allowed to race again, NISHIKADO will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
