Racing Incident Report
Race Three : (458) - FANLING HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1000Meters
Horse No 1 SUPER CHARIZZARD (J184) K Teetan Jumped only fairly and then was bumped by BEAUTY DESTINY which shifted out.
Near the 550 Metres was severely checked when crowded between PARENTS' LOVE which raced tight to the inside of OVERSUBSCRIBED and LEAN MASTER which shifted out when making the turn awkwardly.
The Stewards found the racing manners of LEAN MASTER were the principal reason for the interference.
Horse No 3 PARENTS' LOVE (H405) Y L Chung Proved difficult to load into the barriers.
Before being allowed to race again, PARENTS' LOVE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.
Bumped shortly after the start and became unbalanced.
Raced tight near the 550 Metres and was steadied.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 FALCON COURT (J056) M L Yeung Jumped only fairly and shortly after the start was crowded by OVERSUBSCRIBED which shifted in.
Was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
In the early stages lay out and had difficulty maintaining its position at the rear of the field.
Near the 200 Metres was briefly held up before being directed to the outside of SUPER CHARIZZARD to obtain clear running.
Lay in in the Home Straight.
Over the concluding stages was not ridden to the finish when being positioned tight to the inside of KOWLOON EAST STAR.
Horse No 5 OVERSUBSCRIBED (C361) A Badel Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 6 BEAUTY DESTINY (H281) M Chadwick Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
Approaching the 500 Metres was steadied when racing tight to the inside of LEAN MASTER.
Between the 250 Metres and the 200 Metres was held up for clear running.
Inside the 100 Metres lay in and away from OVERSUBSCRIBED and approaching the winning post was then steadied when crowded between OVERSUBSCRIBED and CIRCUIT SEVEN, both of which shifted ground slightly.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 KOWLOON EAST STAR (E158) B Thompson Bumped near the 200 Metres.
Horse No 8 SUPER FAST DRAGON (G456) A Atzeni After travelling a short distance was crowded between SUPER AXIOM which shifted out and DIAMOND SOARS which was racing tight to the inside of COLOURFUL PRINCE.
Near the 550 Metres was steadied and shifted out to avoid SUPER CHARIZZARD.
Lay in in the Home Straight.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 10 CIRCUIT SEVEN (D474) Z Purton Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
Horse No 11 DIAMOND SOARS (G201) A Hamelin Crowded shortly after the start.
Horse No 12 LEAN MASTER (H134) H Bentley Held up on the Home Turn and approaching the 200 Metres was crowded between DIAMOND SOARS and KOWLOON EAST STAR, both of which shifted ground slightly.
Sent for sampling post-race.

After settling on the rail in midfield, Lean Master quickened nicely to win going away at the line. It was his maiden success in Hong Kong at his 13th local start and he did catch the eye after a hard run on his last start over the Valley 1,000m. Favourite Super Fast Dragon dashed late down the outside to overhaul Colourful Prince for second after a patient ride one from the rear. He was able to brush aside an out-of-character performance on his last start. After tracking the speed from gate eight, Colourful Prince assumed the lead 100m out and kept on well for third. Circuit Seven ran on steadily for fourth after making his run one off the rail from behind midfield. It was another pleasing effort carrying 10 pounds more following a win. Oversubscribed made later headway to finish next best after a wide trip. He had an excuse. Super Charizzard made some late ground near the inside after making his run towards the rear. It was an OK effort on debut. Super Axiom faded tamely after getting his own way in front from gate five. He's struggling to recapture his top form this term.
