Recap by phillip woo

After finding a prominent spot one off the rail 800m from home, Sugar Sugar took control 200m out and kept on well for back-to-back wins. He's a freak over this Valley trip. Captain Win came from last along the inside to add value to the Quinella. It was a season-best effort trying the Valley 1,200m for the first time. A Americ Te Specso ran on well for third after biding his time behind midfield on the fence. He continues to race well after a last start win. Punted late, Denfield stayed on for fourth without threatening the top three after a handy run on the fence. He had his chance. Viva Graciousness stayed on well but just missed the frame after settling in the box seat. He's naturally coming to hand in his three starts across both tracks. Chain Of Gold got going late to finish next best after making his run two from the rear. He's crying out for 1,400m or even a mile. Favourite Joyful Hunter came up one-paced when asked for an effort. It was a disappointing effort. One For All weakened after getting an easy time in front. He's been costly in three starts for his new trainer this season.
