Recap by phillip woo

Solid Impact showed a good turn of foot to collar favourite Eight Light Years after switching off a wall of horses 200m for a clear run following a rails run from midfield for a second career win and first over the Sha Tin 1,200m. Eighty Light Years did everything right but get the win after assuming the lead from Campione following a pace-stalking role from gate eight. He's run well to place three times at this level following a Class Four win. Northern Beaches ran on nicely to finish a close third after a wide with cover trip from midfield. It was a better run after misfiring once at each track following a straight 1,000m win. Fashion Legend ran on steadily for fourth from better than midfield. He's shown progress in his past two of six local starts. Sixth Generation ran on without threatening with one wider out after making his run second last following a slow start. It was a bad effort on return to Sha Tin 1,200m. Pins Prince kept on evenly following a box seat run. Hasten Delight faded after chasing the speed wide without cover.
