Racing Incident Report
Race Ten : (550) - MORNINGSIDE AND S.H.
HO ALUMNI HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 GORGEOUS WIN (J008) Z Purton Bumped shortly after the start.
After the race, Z Purton stated that with his mount carrying top weight today of 135 lbs, it did not appreciate racing on the track which, whilst still rated as "Good" had effects of some light rain which had fallen during the meeting.
Trainer C S Shum stated that the horse had pleased him leading into today's event and agreed with the views expressed by Jockey Purton.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 3 TURIN STARSPANGLED (J209) H Bowman Crowded on jumping by PINS PRINCE which shifted in.

Horse No 12 LET'S DO IT (E132) A Badel Near the 250 Metres was eased and shifted to the outside of MEGA BONUS to secure clear running.
Horse No 13 GOLDEN LONG (H462) K Teetan Jumped only fairly, shifted in and made contact with the hindquarters of MEGA BONUS.
When being crossed by KAHOLO ANGEL approaching the 900 Metres commenced to race keenly and was steadied away from that runner.
Noted to have lost its left front plate after the race.

James Tak reeled in long-time leader Ima Single Man 60m out after a box-seat run for a third win and first in the grade plus two placings from six starts. Ima Single Man grudgingly gave way after turning the final bend two lengths on top leading from gate 11. He proved a win last start was not a fluke. Kaholo Angel has his chance after a handy run with cover but came up one-paced over the last 100m. It was another honest effort. Golden Long ran on steadily to fill the frame after a rails run from behind midfield. He's gone all right. Floof ran on steadily after a rails run from midfield. He's improved from one run to the next but is still acclimatising. Let's Do It got up for late for sixth after a ducking-and-weaving run from the rear of the field. It was a good effort. Not Usual Star made some ground late towards the outside after biding his time third last from gate 14. It may pay to follow up on him from a better draw. Favourite Gorgeous Win only plodded after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He couldn't offset a big weight.
