PHILIP WOO’S FORMLINE
Flaming Rabbit backed up a front-running C&D win following a gear change in March with a third to CP Brave carrying a big weight over the 1,800m. He is in good order and is a speed threat. The Best Peach dashed well for an overdue Sha Tin 1,800m win in March before following an outclassed run at Group level with a troubled sixth over the 1,800m. He does have honest C&D form and warrants respects. Helene Feeling didn't click in the final two legs of the four-year-old series but was hard to fault in five of six other starts this term, including a second in the Classic Mile over today's C&D. Chancheng Glory reeled of four straight wins over this C&D before filling the frame in two of four starts, including a near win in the Classic Cup over the 1,800m. He has place claims.
TROUBLE IN RUNNING
THE GOLDEN SCENERY (E379) jumped only fairly - Race 625.
FLAMING RABBIT (H257) jumped awkwardly - Race 606.
THE BEST PEACH (H139) after the 200M became held up behind a runner and when being shifted to that runner's outside had difficulty obtaining clear running until approaching the 100M. Again became held up for clear running over the final 75M and could not be fully tested to the finish of the event - Race 606.
CHANCHENG GLORY (H212) jumped awkwardly and shifted out - Race 528.
OUTGATE (H113) after the race, rider reported that his mount travelled only fairly throughout the event and, in his opinion, did not appreciate the "Yielding" track conditions. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 625.
SWEET ENCOUNTER (G426) bumped on jumping. After the race, rider stated that with the pace of the event increasing from the 800M, his mount found it difficult to run out a strong 1800M and gave ground over the final 100M. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 606.

Helene Feeling travelled powerfully and made smooth headway in a recent 1,200m trial.
