Racing Incident Report
Race One: (383) - SHAU KEI WAN HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
FLYING ON THE TURF jumped in at the start and inconvenienced THE SUBMARINE.
CHIRON began awkwardly, bumped the hindquarters of FIRE BALL and became unbalanced.
COBY OPPA began awkwardly and got its head up when being ridden along from the start.
From wide barriers, VAST STARLIGHT and GLADSOME RYDER were shifted across behind runners soon after the start.
Approaching the 1100 Metres, SIMPLY SPECTACULAR momentarily raced tight between VUKAN and COBY OPPA.
Passing the 900 Metres, VAST STARLIGHT was crowded for room between HAPPY WARRIOR and TOP ACCOLADE, both of which shifted slight ground.
Approaching the 800 Metres, XPONENTIAL was left racing wide and without cover.
HAPPY WARRIOR also raced wide and without cover from the 800 Metres.
After leaving the 800 Metres, VAST STARLIGHT commenced to race keenly, shifted out and made contact with HAPPY WARRIOR.
A veterinary inspection of VAST STARLIGHT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
FANTASTIC WAY and FIRE BALL were sent for sampling.

Firming at short odds Fantastic Way won with something in hand after driving to the lead along the fence 950m out. It was a very professional performance on debut and there's plenty more to come from him. Fire Ball stuck on nicely for second after prompting the pace early on. He's a winner waiting to happen after running some placings behind some nice horses in his past three starts. Vukan kept plugging away to fill a placing following a box-seat run. He was able to build on a positive debut run at the Valley. Simply Spectacular held his ground to finish a clear-cut fourth following a one-out, oneback run. It was a pleasing first effort following injury break for his new trainer. Gladsome Ryder ran on steadily along the inside to pick up some prize money after making his run second from the rear. Xponential stayed on all right after wide without cover run in midfield. It was an improved effort with a return to Class Four.
