Racing Incident Report
Race One: (168) - PANASONIC INVERTER WINDOW AIR-CONDITIONER HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1000Meters
DRAGON BABY shifted out at the start, resulting in JUBILATION being crowded for room inside RING BELLS.
In this incident, both DRAGON BABY and JUBILATION became badly unbalanced.
HANDSOME GUYS shifted out at the start and bumped I BELIEVE IN MAGIC which became unbalanced.
ABOVE ALL began awkwardly.
Shortly after the start, VENTO shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of STRIVE FOR GLORY.
At the 900 Metres, HANDSOME GUYS was eased away from the heels of EIGHT TRIGRAMS.
Passing the 900 Metres, HANDSOME GUYS was bumped by LUCKY TREASURE which got its head on the side and lay out.
Passing the 300 Metres, LUCKY TREASURE was shifted out away from the heels of HANDSOME GUYS after being awkwardly placed behind that horse.
Approaching the 100 Metres, FLYING HIGH got its head on the side and lay out towards the heels of VENTO.
After the race, M Chadwick (FLYING HIGH) reported that it was intended for FLYING HIGH to be ridden with cover, however, after beginning very well, due to the circumstances of the race in the early stages, he was not able to obtain cover.
A veterinary inspection of EXCELLENT PEERS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
EIGHT TRIGRAMS and VENTO were sent for sampling.

Eight Trigrams was up sharing the lead on the stands side from a wide draw, established a near two-length lead 200m out and kept on gamely to repel raging favourite Vento for the win. He's an honest sort and had the edge in fitness. Newcomer Vento could not peg back the winner after a prominent run. It was still a good effort on debut and he will be winning shortly. Flying Dragon kept on well to finish a close third stalking the speed near the far side. He ran well first-up here after filling the frame in both starts last season and it is only a matter of time before he salutes. Flying High grudgingly gave way after sharing the lead from a low draw. He should be able to find his mark shortly in this grade. Debutant Fiery Diamond kept on one-paced over the last 200m after switching first out and then inside for a run at the 300m following a midfield trip. He will be better for that. Dragon Baby just held his ground when asked for an effort travelling midfield on the far side from gate one. He continues to disappoint but has shown a bit more spark with the addition of blinkers in his past two starts. First-timer Ring Bells ran on without menacing near the far side after making his run third from the rear. He clearly wants a longer trip.
