Recap by phillip woo

Favourite Tuchel won going away near the 100m out after a wide with cover trip in midfield from gate 13. He relished a step up to 1,400m after making a good impression twice at the Valley and there's clearly more to come from him. Rainbow Light found one too good after a nice run one-off in midfield. He was able to build on a third over this trip last start and can breakthrough shortly. Voyage Star kept on gamely for third after rolling forward from a wide gate to track the leader 850m out. He's always a chance over this trip. Plikclone got going late down the outside for fourth after making his run one-off behind midfield. It was another honest effort. In the betting late, Young Victory only knocked up 100m out after dictating the run from a middle draw. He finds it a bit hard at this level. Punted late Colonel only plodded over the last 200m after a box-seat run. He doesn't get the 1,400m. Superb Daddy ran on without menacing from the rear of the field. He's looking forward to Class Five. Ezra made some ground without ever looking a threat from towards the rear. He's in the right grade but needs at least a mile trip.

Racing Incident Report

Race Three: (723) - TO STRIVE IS TO SHINE HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters

AUGUST MOON was withdrawn on 4.6.22 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (fever).

Before being allowed to race again, AUGUST MOON will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

COLONEL shifted in at the start and inconvenienced KARUIZAWA.

PEAK TO PEAK shifted out abruptly on jumping, resulting in TSUEN WAN GLORY being hampered and SUPERB DADDY, which began awkwardly, being inconvenienced and losing ground.

After this, SUPERB DADDY was shifted across behind runners to obtain cover.

HAPPY MATADOR, which from the outside barrier was being steadied, was bumped on jumping by TUCHEL which shifted out.

After this, HAPPY MATADOR was shifted across behind runners.

PLIKCLONE began only fairly.

Passing the 1300 Metres, TSUEN WAN GLORY travelled keenly when being steadied to obtain cover and after the 850 Metres was left racing wide and without cover.

After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on COOLCELEB at the request of Trainer T P Yung.

The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse's trachea and found the horse to be a "roarer??which had previously been reported.

A veterinary inspection of COLONEL and PEAK TO PEAK immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

TUCHEL and RAINBOW LIGHT were sent for sampling.
